Bathroom Renovation

This mid-century bathroom presented with several issues from leaks to overall function. The focus in finishing the new design was to maintain the traditional charm of the home while incorporating modern amenities, such as in-floor heat, jet tub, layered lighting, display shelving and river rock flooring in the shower.

Basement: New Construction

Finishing the basement always adds value to your home. Finishing any space according to your needs, adds value to your life. A music room and recording studio, home theatre, wet bar, spa like bathroom and ultimate play room all cater to the young family who live there. It was important to my clients that the basement to feel warm and inviting... not basement like in any fashion.

Basement: Renovation

The goal in renovating this basement was to increase functionality for it's growing family. Mom enjoys sewing and crafts with the kids, so a large workspace was incorporated to house fabric, sewing notions, and craft supplies. The workspace doubles as a computer area with lots of room to spread out homework. Cork flooring adds warmth to the space and is easy to maintain. A chaise sofa with storage is perfect for movie night and pulls out into a bed to accommodate overnight guests.

Beach House Renovation

Reduce, re-use and recycle is of utmost importance in converting this cottage into a four season home. Whenever possible, sustainable products were used; from cork flooring to quartz counter tops. The existing kitchen cabinets were refinished and updated with new hardware and crown moulding, while low-flow plumbing fixtures were installed in the bathrooms. The dining room, guest house and exterior of the home are currently under construction.

Colour Consult: Office/Guest Room

Multi-functional spaces are more popular than ever. This home office doubles as a guest room or as a sunny place to curl up and read. Situated adjacent to the home's main entry, appearance is just as important as function. I decided to use wall paper to add interest and texture to the room. Today's wall papers are much easier to install and remove than papers from the past, so don't be afraid to give it a try!

Kitchen Update

It's not always necessary to start from scratch to achieve the kitchen of your dreams. Keep what is working and change what isn't. New counter tops, hardware, lighting and a fresh coat of paint go a long way to revive a tired kitchen.

Condo Renovation

In renovating this open-concept condo, additional storage space and traffic flow were the main focus. Although the overall foot print of the space didn't change, storage was dramatically increased by taking the cabinetry to the ceiling in the kitchen and great room, maximizing vertical space. Changing the kitchen layout from U to L-shape and island, allows for ideal traffic flow from the kitchen to the patio when barbequing and the dining room when entertaining.
